Swedish National (25) Dies After Fall From Sanpada Building Police Probe Accidental Death

Navi Mumbai: A 25-year-old Swedish national, who had travelled to the city to attend a friend’s wedding, died after allegedly falling from the fourth floor of a residential building in Sanpada, police officials said on Monday. The Sanpada police have registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) and initiated further investigation.

The deceased, identified as Allde Edward Jan, was a resident of Stockholm, Sweden. He had arrived in Navi Mumbai to join a friend’s wedding celebration held on Saturday at Raghuleela Mall, Vashi. According to police, Allde had stepped out with a group of friends after the ceremony concluded.

Later in the night, Allde reportedly went missing, and his friends were unable to trace him despite multiple attempts. As concerns grew, the group continued searching for him but found no leads.

On Sunday evening, one of Allde’s friends, Pranay Shah, received information that the Swedish national had suffered severe injuries and had been admitted to Sion Hospital in Mumbai. Shah immediately contacted the Sanpada police, providing details about Allde’s disappearance and the sudden discovery of his critical condition.

Despite medical efforts, Allde succumbed to his injuries. Preliminary reports suggest he fell from the fourth floor of a Sanpada building, though the exact circumstances remain unclear. Police are examining how he reached the location and what led to the fall.

Investigators are now recording statements from friends, verifying CCTV footage from the area, and contacting Swedish authorities for coordination.

Police officials stated that all possible angles including accident, misstep, or other factors are being probed to determine the sequence of events leading to the tragedy.
